This film clip is about gender equality between women and men in Danish society and the labour market. In the clip, a married couple from Lebanon describe their initial anxiety that the woman had to go out to work. They go on to tell about the positive influence it has had on the woman’s role in the family and how this has benefitted all of them

Marriage

This film clip deals with women’s and men’s rights and obligations in marriage and in the case of divorce. In the clip, a woman describes her experience of social control and violence in her former marriage. She tells about her experiences in the marriage and how she got help and then divorced from her husband

Raising children

This film clip is about boys’ and girls’ upbringing and opportunities in Danish day care centres, schools and in further education. In the clip, a mother from Pakistan explains how she placed her children in a day care centre so that she could go out to work. Together with a kindergarten teacher, she explains why it is positive for children’s development when they are small to attend a day care centre

Children and adolescents’ rights

This film clip is about children and adolescents as they grow older. A brother and sister, and their mother tell how previously the mother had strict rules for her daughter, but how they have now agreed that the daughter and son should be treated equally and with more trust
