Gender equality between boys and girls

This film explains gender equality in Denmark between boys and girls, and about young people’s rights. The clip shows a case where a young girl explains how unfair it is that she has more duties to carry out at home than her brother.

Parents

This film explains the rights of young boys and girls in relation to their parents, as well as the parents’ responsibility towards their children. A case is shown of a brother and sister, and their mother. They tell how the mother had stricter rules previously for her daughter than her son, but that now they are treated equally with the same trust.

School and leisure

This film clip explains young boys’ and girls’ right to choose an education and which leisure activities they would like to attend. The film clip ends with a case where 3 young girls tell about their experiences of going to martial arts and playing football.

Youth life

This film explains the norms and expectations placed on adolescent boys’ and girls’ behaviour in the public domain, and in their relationships with each other. The film clip ends with a case where a young man from Afghanistan explains how he had to get used to being friends with girls after he came to Denmark.
